Donating Books for Older Kids and Adults

Little Hands Book Bank serves children in early childhood and pre-K programs. For books outside of our mission, the following North Texas organizations accept books for older kids, teens, and adults.

Denton Public Library
Books, CDs, and DVDs are accepted at the North Branch Library at 3020 N. Locust St. during regular business hours. See website for additional details.

Friends of the Allen Library
Donations can be dropped off at the Allen Public Library (300 N. Allen Drive) during regular business hours. A tax receipt will be provided on request.

Friends of the Carrollton Library
Email info@friendscarrolltonlibrary.org and ask for Cathy, who can arrange drop-offs at a library or with a volunteer.

Friends of the Frisco Library
Donations can be made at the new library at 8000 Dallas Pkwy. Visit friscolibrary.com/friends for a list of accepted materials.

Friends of the Irving Library
Donations are accepted on Wednesdays from 1-3pm at their warehouse at 3000 Rock Island Road. Email friends@friendsofirvinglibrary.com with questions.

Friends of the Plano Library
In addition to books, Plano accepts current-year magazines, CDs and DVDs. Donations can be delivered to any Plano library during business hours. Ring the bell at the loading dock and a staff member will provide a receipt.

Friends of the Richardson Library
Books can be dropped off at the front desk of the Richardson Library (900 Civic Center Drive). Let them know the donation is for Friends of the Library.

Market Depot at Grand Central Station (Sherman, TX)
Market Depot maintains a small lending library of titles for children and adults. Call 903-957-0264 or drop books off at 619 E. Houston in Sherman, M-W-F from 9am-4pm or T-Th from 9am-1pm.
